Hi macieq - yes it is safe to give both sides of the credit card because Retail FX - the people who handle this side of things for eToro - are a properly registered financial company. Go look at their site www.retailfx.com and they are approachable - so talk to them about your concerns.

meanwhile from their site :

Safety of Funds

For us here at RetailFX Limited Integrity is not simply a word—it is a mantra; it is a sacred word that we repeat to ourselves day and night as we handle the funds of our traders. It is, without a doubt, our uppermost priority to ensure the safety and security of our clients’ funds. Since RetailFX Limited was founded by a team of Forex traders and risk management experts we are always hyper-aware of the importance of safety of funds. This approach is always noticeable in the way we do business and the way we carry out transactions.

Clients’ funds are separated and maintained secure in various accounts and in different banks. They are available only to the client himself/herself, and only the client can dictate what is to happen with them, i.e. any transactions—such as requesting to withdraw money—needs to be pre-arranged and ordered by the client. Furthermore, RetailFX Limited uses a state of the art secure online billing system that utilizes a multiple secure socket layer technology as to make certain that any transaction data is protected. On top of that advanced encryption technology is also used for all data transfers.

RetailFX Limited also maintains a comprehensive, full scope insurance policy as to guarantee safety of our clients’ funds. RetailFX always holds a corporate net account balance with capital in excess of standard regulatory requirements.

Hello Macieq - I had this same concern at the beginning but I have deposited funds once and withdrawn funds 4 times via my credit card and have had no problems. In fact this practice is commonplace - I had to do the same for my NETeller account. I for one trust Retail FX and as the other poster said in their answer - you can always talk to them. Call them if you find the email support too slow or repetitive. Also, visit their website because you would learn a lot from it - and can read about their service and accreditation there. I think it's at www.retailfx.com

Once you have deposited funds and traded you will (hopefully) want to withdraw funds. You can only withdraw via the same method that you deposited - again you can read about this and the legal reasons behind it on the Retail FX website.

There is a Withdrawal Request Form that you print from within the withdrawal of funds window. I made some photocopies of this form for future use. You have to complete, date and sign this form and return it eithe via scan or fax.

For your first withdrawal you will also have to provide certain other documentation (proof of identity, proof of address etc - I think three documents altogether) This can be done from your computer via a scanner or by fax, so it's easy. It is also a security measure to protect you and your money.

Thereafter, for subsequent withdrawals, you only have to return the completed WIthdrawal Request Form.

I hope that this has helped and reassured you - there is no scam here, just correct financial practice.
