I was exploring the new Advanced Charting features on eToro and, feeling a little bit befuzzled and discombobulated with all those technical indicators and drawing tools, I experienced a bit of an implosion in the rational (sic !) part of my brain. It started with the word 'Aroon– don't ask me why (I have little self-knowledge) but it made me giggle. Then it made me think of the 'Star Wars' films. I began to imagine a planet 'Aroon' peopled by 'Aroonites'. I actually embarked upon an internal dialogue (definitely too much coffee) in which the Aroonites had mastered 'The Force' and , via eToro, were going to apply it to trading the forex !
I managed to jump off that mental slide before the point of no return and googled 'aroon' in a serious attempt to widen my forex knowledge. I got this definition : 'Aroon: Indicator allows defining the changing in prices from the trend state of the market to the sidewalks state. (It indicates absence of clear tendency)'. Which made no sense at all and so I took a walk on the wild side and started playing around with all the indicators and drawing tools on the charts.
I produced the following using only two colours (and there are over 40 colours to play with) :
I reckon that I could do better next time.
Why don't we all start getting arty with the Gann Fans, the Welles Wilder Smoothing, the Raff Regression and especially with the Error Channels – and not forgetting of course those little alien Aroons.
Come on eToro – what about a 50 dollar bonus each month for the most creative piece of Advanced Charts Artwork ?
