Emotion and stress management is an important aspect when it comes to trading forex, especially if you are a short term trader.
Staring at the screen all the time looking for entry and exit signals can drive you crazy. And when you are frustrated, that where we make more mistakes. How many times have we lose more when we do an entry out of frustration instead of having a clear head? Almost all the time for me.
My advice is if you are feeling frustrated and lousy when the trend is going against you, close your position and do something else for a while. Maybe go for a walk, jog or take a shower. Do something that will lift your spirit so you can come back refresh and ready to do battle again (Hmm is that why I am having more than 1 shower a day these days?).
When you come back to your screen, look carefully at the overall situation (through charting) before rushing in for another entry. Take a deep breathe, get your focus back and review the chart to plan your new entry.
So what do you guys do when you are frustrated. Do you also sometime like me do stupid trades?
