Yes, you can even start by 25 $, but I believe it's not enough to make a real profit unless you are lucky. In general you need to settle your own strategy. And careful! Don't invest money you can't afford to loose, it will play on your nerves! Try the practice mode and test by yourself!

Good luck

Re: Withdrawing funds

Postby Tropezienne on 05 Nov 2008

Yes, eToro is 100% legitimate. I withdraw funds regularly from my account every four to six weeks or so and I always have a very positive experience with them. You can rest assured that eToro takes good care of your money and that the withdrawal process is professional and efficient.

I am trying to get myself into a financial position where I can leave more funds in my eToro account with which to trade - because compounding is the real way to make money in forex, especially if you do not have a large starting capital. But for now I need my gains from eToro and I have no problem claiming my money.

When you are ready to withdraw an amount it is quicker (and often a requirement) to select to withdraw money via the same method that you deposited it. I deposited with my Visa card - and so I withdraw to my Visa card. The Terms and Conditions state that eToro and RetailFX reserve the right to pay funds out to the same method as funds were originally deposited. This is to avoid money laundering - which is a good thing for all of us honest traders.

Also, you receive an email as soon as the payment has been processed - here's a screenshot of my latest email :

I will describe the complete withdrawal procedure below;

Re: Withdraing funds

If you want to deposit via one method, but withdraw via another (say you want to deposit via a credit card but withdraw via your NETeller account) it is advisable to also make a small deposit via the method that you ultimately want to use to make withdrawals - then you have two withdrawal paths at your deposal.

For your first withdrawal you have to send (by email, fax or post) certain documents to verify your details. I sent a copies of the photograph page of my passport, a utility bill as proof of address, both sides of my visa card and the top portion of a bank statement. These documents need only be sent once.

For each withdrawal you need to download a withdrawal request form - fill in the details (amount, withdrawal choice) and sign it - then either scan it into your computer and email back to eToro or fax it to them.

Payment takes up to 8 banking days.
