eToro – Forex Trading Forum

Hey there all!

So as you might have noticed this is my first post here on the forum, and my second day dealing in sweet virtual FOREX cash.

While I've been trying to read up on the basics using the eToro site, forum and the repository of all wisdom, Google, to learn as much as I can. However, I'm getting a bit bogged down by the wealth of information, much of it conflicting, that's out there. At any rate they say experience is the best teacher so in addition to fumbling my way through the FOREX world I thought I'd ask my fellow traders for any advice or common mistakes to avoid.

What do you wish you'd known starting out? Are there any classic blunders newbies tend to make? Is it easier to start with small day trades or look for longer term trends?
